Sir Richard Branson was in Los Angeles for the launch of the inaugural Virgin Fest — announced for Banc of California Stadium and Exposition Park — and I was on hand to photograph the Virgin founder and the event around him.

“My love of music led me to start Virgin Records nearly five decades ago. I'm thrilled that Virgin's musical heritage lives on through Virgin Fest,” Branson said, pointing to Los Angeles as a city long near and dear to him.
