PopSugar Grounded — a day of movement, wellness, and energy

AgenC in Los Angeles hired me to photograph PopSugar Grounded at Goya Studios. They wanted complete coverage — workout classes, panels, sponsor activations, the crowd, and the branded details — with a few polished selects from every part of it.
I already knew Goya Studios because I had photographed the Gatorade Athlete of the Year event there. That familiarity helped. I knew the space, and the activations were well lit and easy to photograph, so this wasn't one of those days where the venue itself creates problems.
The schedule was packed: ten workout classes, eight panel discussions, brand activations, and wellness spaces designed for rest, with around a thousand attendees moving through it all. The job was less about solving bad conditions and more about staying on the schedule long enough to give AgenC a polished set from each part.
The frame that stands out is everyone doing synchronized yoga in dark red lighting. It was unique and the main exercise and wellness activation looked cool enough that I still use one of those photographs as the header of my website.
AgenC needed selects the next day, and the full gallery followed within my regular 48-hour delivery. They had the complete set for the client recap and the usual marketing, press, and social uses.
