How fast should event photos be delivered?

It depends on what you need and how big the event is — but for most events, fast. A complete polished gallery, next-day content, press selects, or a few images in hand during the event are different asks. The photos have to still be useful when you get them — so the honest answer starts with what you're using them for.

Standard: full gallery within 48 hours
For most events, the full edited gallery lands within 48 hours — culled, color-corrected, high-resolution. That's the standard, not a rush upgrade.
Highlights come sooner, if you need them
If you need something before the full gallery, a handful of highlight selects can come the day of the event or the next day — included when the event calls for it. That covers the "we need to post something" or "press wants a few tonight" moment while I finish the full edit.
Rush delivery
If you need the whole gallery faster than the standard 48 hours, rush delivery is available for a small fee. Tell me the deadline and I'll tell you what's realistic.
Big multi-day conferences are different
A large conference generating thousands of photos a day is a different job. For those, the full album generally takes at least 5–7 days — there's simply more to cull and edit. The selects and highlights still come the same day or the next day as usual, so you're never waiting on the full album to have something usable while the event is still going.
How to get the fastest useful turnaround
- Tell me what the photos are for before you book.
- Point out the must-have people and moments.
- Name the approver or point person.
- Get me access and credentials early.
The turnaround problem is usually an information problem. The more I know going in, the faster the right pictures come back. For a time-sensitive event, send the date, hours, location, and when you need the first usable images — see how many photos to expect, my rates, or tell me about your event.
