KCON LA 2025 ran August 1–3 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, with the concerts across the street at Crypto.com Arena. I shot the convention side — the exhibit hall, the brand activations, and the X Stage.

The floor is a brand show as much as a music one. bibigo built two of them: a SEVENTEEN-branded hall with all thirteen members on a photo wall, and a co-branded stage with TikTok where creators filmed all day. Olive Young ran a schoolhouse. Bring Green, COSRX, and UniqueMi each had their own skincare rooms. Chi Forest poured sparkling water. Seoul's tourism board parked a giant pink mascot behind a Seoul My Soul sign. Boys II Planet and Produce 101 The Shinsekai ran photo ops, and Dear X built a red carpet with a 360 booth on it.

I was there to shoot booths, and the hard part is always the same: getting them clean and empty, from a few angles each, before the doors open. You're running the floor against the clock. Half of them still have people setting up. The shot list doesn't always match what's in front of you — a booth moved, or it's not labeled the way it was on paper — so you're identifying builds on the fly. Every one looks its best empty and sells its best full, and the brand needs both: the clean architectural frame for their own recap, and the one with a line out front that proves the thing worked.
