Pop Sugar Grounded

Event photography is a dynamic and challenging field, and I had the pleasure of being an event photographer for PopSugar's latest event, Grounded. Launched as a spin-off of its annual Play/Ground festival, Grounded is a day-long fitness and wellness-focused event that took place in Los Angeles on March 7.

As an event photographer, my focus was to capture the energy and excitement of the event, from the 10 workout classes throughout the day, to the 8 panels and other activations and rest areas that focused on wellness. The event was monetized through ticket sales and sponsorship, with tickets ranging from $25 for a half day or $40 for the full day, and an expected 1,000 attendees throughout the day.

Capturing the essence of the event was a top priority, and I made sure to get shots of keynote speakers, workout classes, and networking events. I also focused on capturing candid moments, such as attendees engaging in conversation or soaking up information at educational sessions.

One of the biggest challenges of event photography is ensuring that the images are well-lit, and I had to work quickly to ensure that every shot was crisp and clear. In addition, I had to be creative and think outside the box to capture unique perspectives and angles to make the images stand out.

Overall, it was an exciting and rewarding experience to photograph PopSugar's Grounded event. The event was a great opportunity to showcase my skills as an event photographer and to learn more about the wellness industry. I
